Shadow's story part 4

As the people get in place they hear the sound of a army marching in the distance and the sound of the tanks and as the people and the monsters of the city look over the distance and see the army approach the city. Loading their guns and bows they take aim and before they fire the first shot a tank fires at one of the buildings and takes it out. One man from the army of  men takes a stand in front of the army and said if you hand over the people we are after, we will not harm your city or your people.  The people started questioning if they should do it, one teenage human boy and a teenage naga girl that are sitting nearby started crying, they are never going to leave us alone. Shadow said as loud as he can people and monsters alike I have seen what these people do to you, they have been stealing from you and kidnaping your loved ones and enslaving them and killing them for fun. If you do not fight them back with me and give up I will go with them even if they will kill me and I will not fight back to save all of you from a war you do not want. But if you do fight back we can stop it all here and now. No longer will they harm all of you or come back, so humans and monsters, so what  do you chose is it to fight back the enemy or let them do what they always do to your family and friends and take all you have. As he said that, the people said we will stand and fight back as loud as they can, so loud that you can hear it all throughout the city and miles away from the city. The man standing in front of the army hearing this started to run back to his group but before he can make it Shadow throws a  knife at the man. Shadow's throw is true and hits the man in the back through his heart and he hits the ground hard. The army in shock did not react in time and the people's guns go off and they shot down as many as they could before they shot back.  Lola shot at them as Shadow provided help to keep the men from getting in the buildings. The traps that they set slowed the assault to the city but not for long as the army approach the inside of the city, bombs and guns go off like crazy. Shadow using his daggers skills kills lots of the men, so many that the army started to fear him as they drop like flies, when they drop to 200 men, they give up and the people lose 900 of their family and friends. When the people look the boss of the men is not there and then one of the bad guys bleeding to death pressed a button and far away a loud bang can be herd,  the army gets out of the tanks and dropping there guns run away in terror. One of the people finds a radio that said to retreat because the city is going to be nuked. He plays it through his radio so all the people can hear it and then all of the people believe they are doomed, sees Shadow looking angry and said I will find a way to save you all.  And as he said that a puff of shadow covers him in no time and its gone they see Shadow standing looking up and see he has wings cloaked in shadow as if he is an angel of shadows.  Lola running to him said what are you going to do, he pets her head and said take care of yourself as he hides his tears from her. He takes off to the sky with his new wings going a 100 mile's pre hour. The people see Shadow going full speed to the nuke, hit's it and it go's off with a bang. When some time has passed they send people to find him but can only find his daggers not his body. When the people see all that there is, that they can find there where no tears of joy for wining the fight but tears for a hero that gave it all for them. So they decided to make a statue of him to remember him by, Lola losing a good friend and someone she loved promises to take his place as the city's new hero.                        END OF PART 4
